Orchard Lake Village

Welcome to Orchard Lake Village

If you love living around water, welcome home.

Look at a map of Orchard Lake Village and one thing will become abundantly clear—to live here is to love seclusion, the outdoors, and, most of all, the water. Roughly 45% of Orchard Lake Village is water, the vast majority of which comes from the village's namesake lake.

Surrounded on nearly every side by West Bloomfield, Orchard Lake Village is the definition of a tucked-away enclave. Housing, as you'd expect, is expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for—grand homes with diverse architecture and plenty of space to spread out.

Inland homes are opulent and priced anywhere from $350,000 to over $750,000. Many of these homes sit on acre-sized lots clustered in the northwestern neighborhoods of Sandy Beach and La Playa and the southern Orchard Lake Woodlands.

Waterfront homes take Orchard Lake's housing to another level. These massive estates often sit on multiple acres and include stunning water views, huge backyards, and private boat docks. These homes can fetch upwards of $2 million or more.

What to Love

The Crosswinds Mall commercial area along Orchard Lake Road is shared with West Bloomfield Township and includes the fantastic Uptown Parthenon restaurant. If you're thinking about sushi, Sushi Samurai is sure to satisfy your craving. For dessert, don't miss Sweet Dreams Bakery.

In the north, before Orchard Lake Road passes into Keego Harbor, the Early Bird Cafe is breakfast heaven, and Filo Fresh serves up excellent Mediterranean fare. This area also features a few quaint, locally-owned shops.

Things to Do

Orchard Lake Village's persona begins and ends with nature. This outdoor spirit includes the 50-acre Orchard Lake Sanctuary, which has a public trail system. For the golfing set, Orchard Lake Country Club has 18 holes of championship golf, tennis courts, and lake access.

Of course, Orchard Lake is all about the water—that includes the main Orchard Lake as well as Cass Lake to the north and Upper Straits Lake to the west. Boating, fishing, or taking a bike ride around the scenic shorelines are favorite pastimes.
